Soap and Glory Foamous Body Wash- Product Review

Soap and Glory Foamous Body Wash is one of my all time favourites products, I have been using this product for the last four months and it comes in the perfect sizes bottle. I just can't get enough!

This product contains almond, honey milks and oat extract and that's not even the best part it smells even better, the smell stays with you all morning, even my boyfriend has used this product when he has been round! It lathers really well and applies and smooths onto the skin perfectly.

The product really works and it leaves your skin feeling really smooth and fresh with its fab conditioning properties great for those early starts or stressful mornings.

The retail price for this product is £6.50 for 500ml so is even purse friendly and it available in Boots and on their website and the packaging is quirky and has a slight vintage look, the only downside is the pump, its not great, it pumps little amounts of the product and when coming to the end of this product the pump stops working *annoying*

Overall I would definitely recommend that you try this product. Any thoughts about other Soap and Glory product that tickle you pink?

Yummy, yummy, in my tummy

Me and my boyfriend recently went to this amazing little coffee shop called 'Jacob's Coffee House' in Bath, it was lovely. The staff were really friendly and the food was to die for. The hot chocolate was so pretty we just had to try them!!
Matt also got a chocolate cake slice which was so warm and gooey! (drool)

Jacob's Coffee House is located near The Abbey in Bath, just in case you decide to pop in for a visit!

How amazing is that! (so cute), I just really want to know how to do this.

These are some extra treat i was drooling over, I restrained myself and went with the awesome hot chocolate instead :)

I know my blog is mainly going to be about fashion, beauty etc. but I decided that for my first post I would mix things up a bit and show you a day in the life sort of post. Hope you liked it!

Q & A

Hey guys!,
Seeing as a lot of you are asking my questions I thought that I would put up some of the main questions and, I guess so you guys can get to know me better!

  • What is your favorite hair product? Probably a good hairspray
  • Which feature do you try to downplay/cover up? My legs I hate them.
  • Your favorite makeup brand, if you could pick only one? This is a hard one, probably Mac
  • Which product have you re-purchased over and over? Benefit, there're real mascara!
  • One beauty treatment you would always pay for? Its not really a beauty treatment but dying my hair, especially when I ombra it as my hair is a dark brown colour.
  • One beauty treatment you would never pay for? Eyebrow tint, they are so bad for your eyebrow, I have heard horror stories of people who have done it so much the hair roots are destroyed and they are left with no eyebrows at all!
  • One beauty trick you can share with everyone? When finding the perfect foundation colour do not use your hand to match, you may have a darker or lighter skin tone on your hand that your face. Always match by blending on your jaw line.
  • Best advice you've ever been given regarding beauty? ALWAYS moisturize and to use a lip balm every morning.
  • What is the worst product you have ever used? Probably the Collection cover up stick its so cakey, however the liquid concealer they do is my favorite concealer, weird I know!
  • What is your favorite foundation? NARS matte foundation in Mont Blanc
  • What is your favorite clothing brand? Well, i'm torn between Topshop and Urban Outfitters
  • What products do you not use? Well, its not really a product but i can't use face masked because the skin on my face is really sensitive :(

I hope you liked if you have more questions I might do one of these again later on in the year so email your questions to summerhollyxx@gmail.com

Hairspiration

As well as being the amazing actor she is, Emma Watson has become a icon to thousands. She has had an array of hair cuts but my favorite has to be this wavy/curly natural look. Which looks great on shorter hair like mine.

When I was little I had really curly hair but by the age of six all my curls had fallen out *sad*. Now my hair is somewhere between curly and straight but not quiet wavy! So I decided that I would get some *Hairspiration* and try something different to get my curls on! I tried these hair curlers

At first this product was a bit daunting, especially with that GIANT STICK THING!
But when you know what you are doing its great fun, although this product only works if you sleep in them but sleeping with these things in your hair is hard, I mean who wants to sleep with plastic things stabbing at  your head, huh?
However they really surprised me as the end result is A-mazing. You really can't go wrong for less that £5!

Do you see Emma Watson as an icon? if not, who is your style icon and why?

Topshop haul

I got paid at the weekend (finally!) so I decided to do a Topshop haul (yaaay!) and show you what I bought. Topshop is a bit over prices but I just can't help myself I always find something I love every time I go in store.

Firstly I bought these amazing patterned light blue jeans, which are super cute and fit my body shape really well, I often find that because I am a size 8/10 (UK size) on the bottom and 8 (UK size) on the top, that jeans are too baggy on my waist and I am constantly pulling them up *so annoying* but these fit really well. They also look and feel expensive which is just an extra bonus!

Then I decided to buy a white blouse/top as they go together really well, this would make a great summer outfit (I just hope we get some sunshine this year *come on weather*) The material is really comfortable and at first I thought that the frilly sleeves would become really annoying however this top fits well and looks good on.

I then went onto the dresses, to be honest I am not really a dress person but I have been wanting to push my boundaries and get my legs out for once so I picked up this cute two layer dress, which are really in at the moment. I am a big fan of lace and it adds that little bit of  extra detail to this dress without being to over the top.

I was also surprised to become really found to this baby pink two layer lace dress which I think also comes in light yellow and light green. It is a smart dress perfect for a night out. It is quiet short but with some leggings or tights you would make it less daring.

Last but not least I bought this green knit cardi as I really needed something to go with my black shorts and white lace crop top. I know this is weird but I am actually allergic to wool  but this cardi contains no wool so I can ware this cardi with comfort (yaaay!)

Have you got any Topshop Favorites?

Life in LUSH

I went to Lush last week and bought a few bits and bobs, I did have to restrain myself  thought (well actually Matt had to drag me out the shop before I bought anything else, haha!)
Money seems to have a way of burning a hole in my pocket, I always have a way of spending it! sadly this has effected my now non existent car fund (oops!)

I have wanted to try something a bit different to the usual products on offer in Lush so I tried the Gorilla vanillary perfume, yeah I know what a weird name! But with all seriousness this product is AMAZING, obviously smells of vanilla but its main qualities are that it  makes you feel clean and fresh but at the same time lasts for ages and does not have that overpowering smell.

Then I bought the popcorn lip scrub which is a really effective product, you simply use you finger to rub the lip scrub in which softens your lips after you can lick off any excess but for me the popcorn one had a horrible taste so let it down. There is a bubblegum version which tastes great, so it is really down to own preference. I find that because this product is so compact it is great for going out when you can quiet literally apply and go!

In the shop I asked one of the lovely shop assistance (sadly I can't remember her name) if she could recommend a product for dry lips as sadly I am prone to very dry lips especially in the winter months :( , but to my delight she recommended a great lip balm, a product which had done wonders for my lips it is called 'Ultrabalm, all purpose balm' which really does do what it says on the tin; restores, soothes, protects, relieves and moisturises.

The last item I bought was a colour supplement which is effectively a light coverage foundation which can be used with a moisturiser. I bought this product in 'light yellow' which is great for fairer skin tones, but there are many in the collection if you have a lighter or darker complexion and is the closest if not perfect colour for my skin tone at such a cheap price of £9.25 a pot (compared to my usual Nars foundation in 'Mont blonc' which costs £31 which is quiet a lot for a foundation)

Do you have any Lush favorites? or
Any products that you would recommend?
